Nailhead Spur Company Inc., in Burnet, Texas, located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country is owned by Richard and Valerie Wendt. Along with them and their artists, designers, and custom fabricators they have spent two decades of providing homeowners, contractors, fellow artists and fabricators with quality custom metal work and industrial structural steel projects to meet any need in our shop or on their jobsite.

Nailhead Spur was the original vision of Charles Wendt, Richard’s father to start a company to cater the working cowboy of today by offering an avenue for custom bits and spurs and opened the first location in downtown Llano, TX. Richard came into partnership with Charles in 2002 and brought his own vision. Richard a Machinist and Welder by trade had made his way in heavy industry thus forging the company into a unique blend of offering everything from spurs to onsite structural steel projects.

After Charles’s retirement in 2011, the company is solely owned and operated by Richard and his beautiful wife, Valerie. The two of them are always exploring new product lines and enjoy the challenge of the “one of a kind” job that pushes all of our employees to think “outside of the box” to overcome design and fabrication challenges as they present themselves. When Nailhead Spur takes on your unique project, it will have the full attention of everyone involved, from the Design team to the painter.

Valerie and Richard living in Burnet for years, decided when they outgrew their current Llano location opened a larger, retail / fabrication shop at 1840 E. Polk St., Burnet, TX.  Their grand opening was December 2015 and they now enjoy working in Burnet County.  Please stop by their new showroom and check out the gallery of all LOCAL ARTISTS in their new location.
